Identity through social context.

Jut&Jul is a 12 weeks long collaboration of fashion designers, photographers and graphic designers researching the influences of context to personal identity. Newly immigrated to Berlin, the skin-colored clothes of Jut&Jul functioned as a canvas for new influences and inspiration. After Jut&Jul returning home from Berlin, a list of inspirational items and a bag full of materials was left behind, documented in ‘Jut & Jul & a possible book’ and on their website. The publications show how the identity of Jut&Jul evolved through the influence of geographical as well as human context. Geographical context influenced through objects and architecture. Human context through social encounters and interpretation.
