'Maak Plaats!' ('Make Space!') presents a new vision of space in North Holland. This research project by the Dutch government on better utilisation of infrastructure and networks in the existing cities is leading the way and has become a policy. The activating ‘activating’ branding through the orange color in combination with the activating typography refers back to 60’s, the age of activism when the policy makers were still in their young ages. The logo-system is completely flexible. It can depict a specific area (Maak Plaats Uitdam) or a specific action (Maak Samen Plaats!).
